I got the job. Yayy!
I had a job interview and trial today with as a hairdresser’s receptionist. It is surprisingly involved. There is lots to do, it’s not just answering the phone and filling in times. There is lots to remember, and they only told me the basics and I don’t even know if I have to job!! Though they do want me to come back tomorrow and Friday to train some more. I have GOT to get the hang of booking times etc. It is actually pretty complicated.
Also this evening I went to see the film Teeth.
As I was walking to my interview at the museum I realized that this summer there were some really interesting exhibits on in London, so I decided I would become really cultured and go to lots of museums and galleries.
Blood on Paper: the Art of the Book – V&A
The Story of the Supremes from the Mary Wilson Collection – V & A
Street & Studio: An Urban History of Photography – Tate Modern
Skin+Bones: Parallel Practices in Fashion and Architecture – Somerset House
I have an interview tomorrow at the Science Museum. I really really want the job. It just front of house stuff, but still it would be cool. Also, I might be doing some photography work for a company brochure, which would also be awesome!
In other news, I am back at home and unpacked. I am so glad to be out of halls, no more thumping bass music at 3am when I want to sleep. I am so tired today, even though I slept really well last night, I think that it is because I have not slept properly in a week or so.
Mmm, I smell roast beef, I love being home.
